"Flatten the curve". "Social distancing". Terms that I never thought we would hear or need to understand. I am thankful for our Goggin Energy employees who have shown a resilience as well as careful observance of our new conventions to avoid spreading the contagion. I am also grateful to all the grocery store workers, postal workers, sanitation workers, and others who are helping us keep a semblance of normal life. As we experience this pandemic together, I want to let you know that Goggin Energy is still open for business, making proposals, signing contracts, and installing heat pumps and solar arrays. That said, like others, we have made changes to how we operate to keep our employees and customers safe and to do our part to "flatten the curve".
Technicians have been instructed to:
1. follow social distancing procedures;
2. wash hands before arriving at or when arriving at each job, and after leaving each job;
3. not shake hands;
4. upon arrival, to ask you if anyone in the home or business is ill.
If at all possible, please inform us ahead of time if anyone in your household or business is not well or has had direct contact with a person known to have contracted COVID-19 so that we can reschedule your visit or installation.
Office employees and site designers are now working from home. We will not be doing any in person site visits for at least the next two weeks. We are offering over-the-phone and over-the-computer consultations and design services. We welcome any drawings, photographs, and/or diagrams in advance of these meetings. We can give you a strong preliminary proposal and if you want to accept this, do a site visit to confirm the design and price (barring any true "lockdown").
Any employee who is not feeling well, or is concerned about being out and about, is encouraged to stay at home. We have increased our paid days of sick leave to give employees a little more security on this front.
We are able to answer our phone remotely through our computers. If you are unable to get through please send us an email to [email protected] and that message will get to everyone on the office/sales staff.
It is hard to remember right now but summer will come, the heat will come, the sun will shine, you will want renewable power and a comfortable home and business. Thank you for being a Goggin customer. These are anxious and interesting times but together we will get through it. Stay well.
